Pet Detectives
in the field.

A fresh sighting gives a search team somewhere to start. An overhead view can show what’s on the far side of a treeline, a snowbank or a stretch of riverbank.

01   /   REAL SEARCH FOOTAGE

Two searches from the archive.

Snow and bare trees in the Honey film. Rooftops and summer foliage in the Dobie film. Each reel shows the view the crew had during that search.

02   /   FARM & WILDLIFE DEVELOPMENT

The view a producer needs.

A producer knows the gates, fence lines and stretches of bush where an animal can disappear from view. HDS is exploring how a pilot could give that producer a useful location and direction of travel while the ground team stays in charge of the animal.

We’d like to hear about the terrain you work on, the last search that took too long and what you would have wanted to see from the air.

Design study. The illustrated recovery equipment is an early concept. Deployment would require separate testing, animal-welfare review and qualified partners.

ILLUSTRATED SEARCH PLAN

From a last sighting to a field check.

This animation follows an example observation route across an open area. The crew can relay a possible sighting for the landowner or handler to check on the ground.
