Drone services: your questions answered
Practical answers about pet searches, pricing, weather, thermal imaging, deliverables and future projects.
Can you guarantee finding my pet?
No. A drone can add visibility and useful observations, but locating and recovering a pet depends on sightings, terrain, weather and animal behaviour.
What should I do before calling?
Have a recent pet photo, the last confirmed location and time, direction of travel and your contact number ready. Note temperament and any known hiding spots. Avoid sending a crowd to chase the animal.
Can thermal cameras see through trees or buildings?
Thermal cameras do not see through solid objects. Vegetation, structures, weather, background temperatures and the animal’s position can obstruct detection.
Can you fly in any weather or at night?
Each flight is assessed for the aircraft, conditions, visibility, airspace and site. Some requests must be delayed or declined. Night work is discussed case by case.
How quickly can you come?
Call or text 204-955-8328 for current availability. There is no guaranteed response time or automatic booking from submitting a form.
What does a pet search cost?
The published starting price is $299 for the first two hours, then $60/hour. Confirm travel costs, applicable taxes and the agreed scope before booking.
What do inspection customers receive?
Deliverables are agreed before the flight and may include organized visual imagery, thermal capture under suitable conditions and documentation of specified areas. Ask for the format your team needs.
When will my media be ready?
The delivery date, editing scope and file formats are agreed in the quote. Tell us about your deadline before booking.
Are the delivery and heavy-lift drones available to hire?
The DRONERX, FETCH, Northern Supply and smart-dock material describes concept and development planning. Illustrated specifications are design targets rather than verified commercial capability.
How is my search information used?
Contact details, sightings and an optional photo are used to assess and respond to your request. Photo submission does not grant permission to publish it. Read our privacy page or ask Eric about handling your information.
